THE CHÂTEAU
Spread over 25 hectares, the Château cultivates 10 hectares of remarkably well-exposed vines on the heights of Saint Gènes de Lombaud.
Our vines benefit from gravelly, clay-limestone soil. The oceanic climate is conducive to grape-growing, with relatively mild winters and sunny summers.
Combining tradition and modernity, we grow different grape varieties on the estate: Merlot for the reds, Merlot and Cabernet for the rosés, and Sémillon and Muscadelle for the whites.
OUR STORY
Château ICLA is the result of a fusion between our family passion for wine and our love of horses.
For Jean-Christophe, who comes from a family of poultry farmers near Poitiers, and Isabelle, who moved to Bordeaux nearly three decades ago, entrepreneurship is rooted in our roots and family values, combining passion, challenge and sharing. This time, the story is being written with our two daughters, Léa, heir to the family values, and Andréa, passionate about the equestrian world.
Château ICLA is a bold adventure, a return to our origins to create elaborate, well-structured wines that are still light and easy to drink, aimed at customers looking to explore new flavours in our magnificent region.
